Skills we'd like you to have

  • 3+ years of industry experience
  • Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following artistic disciplines: environment art, animation, effects, lighting and physics
  • Experience with current generation Console Platforms (Xbox One and Playstation 4)
  • Strong balance of creative/visual aesthetics and technical skills
  • Technical Writing experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the requirements and constraints of game design, engine, and platforms
  • Assisting and guiding external developers and artists - Work with our client’s art teams to improve best practices, and use them to optimize workflows
  • Material creation, including making materials for characters, environment assets, creating effects, and executing any overly complex technical duties utilizing software tools such as 3ds Max, Maya, and Photoshop
  • Author and maintain scripts to be used by artists in content creation applications
  • Initiating optimization processes by using diagnostic tools to examine current content and identifying areas for improvement
  • Providing feedback to programmers and experimenting with features as they are added
  • Resolving complex issues and helping other artists resolve technical hurdles

Skills we think you should have

  • Expert knowledge of 3ds Max (or Maya), Photoshop and game engines
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine 4
  • Able to collaborate and work well with teams from various disciplines
  • Take charge in optimization of content for memory and performance gains, while maintaining visual fidelity
  • Problem-solve and provide a clear solution to complicated issues
  • Ability to think out-of-the-box to overcome technical challenges
  • Passionate about AAA games and game development
  • Motivated, self-driven and enthusiasm to their craft
