Please detail a bit of information about your experience/career background?

I come from Karachi, Pakistan and after completing my four-year bachelors’ program in Computer Science at Habib University (Karachi), I worked for two years as a full stack developer providing SaaS development services using Nest.js and Angular.

My passion for game development, however, was sparked when I made a spaceship game using C++ and SDL2 as part of my undergraduate course. Currently, I am a post graduate student at Newcastle University studying Computer Game Engineering and am soon to graduate.

Why Coconut Lizard?

After my interview with Coconut Lizard, I knew that I wanted to be a part of it. Upon conducting more research, I discovered their outstanding reputation alongside their sister studio d3t, where they had been recognized as a "best place to work" for four consecutive years.

However, what appealed to me most about Coconut Lizard is their open approach to roles and positions, essentially allowing me the freedom to choose the kind of work that I want to pursue. Additionally, the diversity of projects they undertake is something that I really liked.

What do you love about games?

What captivates me the most about games is the opportunity to immerse myself in a whole new world where I have control. I find myself particularly drawn to games that offer realism, and I am fascinated by the intricate graphics that bring these virtual worlds to life. Sometimes, I even abandon the main gameplay and simply wander around, exploring and admiring the beauty of the digital landscapes.

What games are you currently playing, and what is your favourite game?

Growing up, Road Rash and Project IGI were my favourite games and I still cherish them to this day because of all the nostalgia they bring me. Lately though, I have not played many games other than GTA V.

Any fun facts or hobbies?

My idea of having fun is dancing and singing all of my favourite songs (which is a never-ending list) with other people and then wrapping up the day with a nice hot pizza! Besides that, I love going to parks, laying down on the grass and feeding the ducks and birds. I also love shopping and binge-watching shows (who doesn’t?!).
